What do you love most about being a hostess?

Greg’s generous salary scale ... our hourly wage increases by $1 each year to equal the number of years the tournament has been in existence ... not bad for a day basking in the sun (rain?, cold?), catching up with friends!

How did you meet Greg?

Through Tania. Tania and I used to be hostesses at the Coffee Trader together. In 1989 (I’m pretty sure that was our first year) she recruited me to hostess the tournament with her. Greg had finally decided it was time to bring in some REAL hostesses for his golf tournament, rather than continuing to hire temp agency girls. Of course before that monumental first tournament, Greg took Tania, Angela, and I out for the traditional “hostess dinner.” It was then that I met Greg.

How many times have you played golf in your life?

Three or four ... only at Lake Park at Greg’s Tournament. Greg used to force us to get there at 9AM to “play at least 9 holes” just so we could have an idea of what the course was like. It was pretty ugly ... we weren’t golfers! Eventually we talked him out of that ritual and I haven’t golfed since!

Using one word, how would you describe Greg?

Hmmmm, let’s see .... UNIQUE!

Any advice for the golfers in the quest for the coveted Currie Cup?

Go to the Social Security office and have your name changed to Greg or Lisa Postles.
