Greg and Lisa, Congratulations on the one year anniversary of your tremendous website. Your website is one of the very best sites coming out of Whitefish Bay and it is clearly the favorite of my students in Random Lake. (However they would like to see more pictures of the HOSTESSES.) Keep supplying our youth with quality educational material! Jeff Kaul

Greg - The guest books are now archived and separated - the eagle is landing Chuck
March 18, 2002
Hi Greg - Thanks for posting the scores for last year ... already. I couldn’t help noticing that only 7 men were able to beat my astonishing score of 30 on the diabolical back nine, the true test of one’s ability at Lake Park, and the part of the course that rewards those of us who are very long off the tee. - Pat Currie, one of the “young guns”
March 18, 2002
Greg, you are a Class Act. Free lobster at this year’s tournament?? Wow, count me in!! Same goes for 25 of my closest friends!!! Your faithful and everlasting sister-in-law, Natalie
March 19, 2002
Hi Greg I just wanted to let you know there was a problem with the best sound editing category. When I tried to switch it to Pearl Harbor (you spend that much money, I guess you have to win something) the dot went to Pearl Harbor but also stayed in Monster’s Inc. So all four circles remained marked. But my vote is for PEARL HARBOR. See ya Sunday!!!!!!! Hi Lisa!!!!!!!
March 21, 2002
hello Greg & Lisa! hope you are both well & i just wanted to leave a note since i haven’t checked out the website in awhile. love the hostess link (are we a hoot or what?!) i wanted to fill in the oscar poll but unfortunately the only movie i’ve seen is Lord of the Rings....i want to see Gosford Park & Beautiful Mind & maybe Moulin Rouge but u see we have cable so we usually wait to see the movies. I’ve been so very busy with school @UWM & wedding plannin..don’t forget June 15th! Also I’m doing costumes for the Modjeska Theatre’s production of West Side Story ---the show runs the last wkend in April & the first wkend in May. Its a student show & boy are they talented! I will email further details. Happy Easter & Spring, Peace n Luv, Tania
March 21, 2002

March 21, 2002

Hee hee..i don’t think there was a link to it any way or to hostess trivia but Greg do you ever have alot of favorite links! Cool! Keep on salsain’! & Lisa, thanx for the nice words--you are very sweet! :) Tania
March 21, 2002
Dear Greg, ARgh! don’t get me started about the Oscars. Out here in L.A. this is a blood sport. Don’t get me wrong, I love Ron Howard, after all I lived in his house, fed his pets, read his diary, and stole his Tupperware back in 1987, but if Beautiful Mind wins and Ron wins and Russell Fuckwit wins, I’ll slit my wrists. I’ll be watching the Oscars in New York this year. Last year I was in London and told the hotel desk clerk all my predictions. She told me all of hers. Hers were right. What do I know? Did any of you see Lantana? Monsoon Wedding? excellent movies. One night I dreamt that my boyfriend was really really nice and sweet and kind and when I ran my hand down his back it was all bristly. When I woke up I realized that I’d been dreaming about Shrek. My friends won’t let me forget it. Neither will my husband. I think it showed good taste. Thank you for doing this silly poll. I look forward to the day when they eliminate the movies altogether and just do a celebrity fashion parade on network TV. Love, Betsy p.s.
March 23, 2002
Hi Greg I enjoyed doing the poll--but they were all shots in the dark because I haven’t seen many movies this year--except in the animation category--I enjoyed all three nominees. What does that say? I am looking forward to the awards show tomorrow night--the highlight of my TV watching year. Ann
March 24, 2002
Hi Greg and Lisa, Jimmy and I just did the Oscar Poll. I think the key to our entries is not how many were right, but how many were wrong. Have fun tonite. Wendy

Hey you crazy kids! Thanks for the post{le} card from the wild west...what happened on the trail? Can you add someone to the Tournament list? A friend, George Wagner of 3300 N Newhall Milw 53211, has been practicing at Lake Park. Good etiquette and scrupulous scorer. He will be an asset to our foursome if invited. I’ll be returning from the Toronto Film Festival on that Saturday, but fully intend to golf. Miss you, Christine Prevetti PS Dennis is moved in to Booth Street. Adjusting OK!

August 16, 2002
Well, I’ve certainly enjoyed the site’s updates. I have to admit, one of my favorite things this year-much to own surprise-is the section, “Meet Your Hostesses.” Tania’s definitely my favorite, but I STILL feel like the I’m reading profiles from an Escort Service or the personnel files from Hooters. I’d like to see a couple of open dykes or a couple of guys be among the hostesses next year. In the spirit of that suggestion, then, I’ve decided to apply for a 2003 position myself by answering those same questions. (Oh, and Greg, more “Back” buttons. We need more “Back” buttons on the web pages, yes?) Okay, here goes. I’ll send along references when you let me know if I’m hired. ______________________________ What would you love most about being a hostess? Probably I would love an atmosphere wherein people were very dependent on me for their happiness, even if only for one day. I would love to put people in that bind, which, I suppose, likens me to a dominatrix; I don’t think I’m wording this right. Let’s just say it’s my deep and abiding love for people, and the world. Ask any of friends. They’ll tell ya. How did you meet Greg? Back in college, at UW Milwaukee, our gang of self-proclaimed Wits looking to meet New Wave, ballroom dancers with a penchant for whimsy, developed a fondness for Greg-at first for his fashion sense (while Cindy Lauper and Madonna made me feel my poverty-stricken fashion provided me my raggedly good looks, Greg was purchasing the impressive hundred-dollar silk and wool trousers I really wanted to wear), but then for his indefatigable love for a good time, especially at his age! How many times have you played golf in your life? I’ve been tee-ed off more times than I can count, but played golf? Well, honestly, twice on a pitch-and-putt course in Ireland and any number of self-destructing miniature golf courses over the years (one of them actually in the basement of a Milwaukee shopping mall that, in retrospect, seems like something out of Mr. Heulot’s Holiday!). Using one word, how would you describe Greg? Heterosexual. Any advice for the golfers in the quest for the coveted Currie Cup? Set your sights on the Holy Grail. It’s more likely to avail itself, don’t you think? _____________________ Love you both, and so sorry I’m going to be stuck in San Diego for the Tournament. Karl

Hi Greg and Lisa, Just to let you know that I checked out your website. What a great time! As for the music, it takes a little too long for my computer to download and open, so I skipped that part. Later Dude! Wendy
August 19, 2002
Hey Greg, I like your web site. Some of the pictures in your gallery on the earlier pages didn’t work but I am sure that is being worked on or it is my stupid server. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that it is pretty cool. Who did your site for you, Joan Plant? Well, whoever did, hats off! Looking forward to seeing the whole gang on Aug. 27th!!! : ) Linda
August 20, 2002
Summer is almost over and we’ll be back at it very soon. It’ll be good to know that I can see you again, Greg. I am unable to make the golf tournament again--prior commitments, but the invitation gave me the opportunity to check out the website after a long absence. I hope that your summer has been a good one for you. I look forward to seeing you on August 27th. I am curious to know how you feel about getting a new elementary principal this year. Take care! Ann Fowler
August 21, 2002
Hi Greg - Just wanted to let you know that the invites are being received. Mine came either Monday or Tuesday, but I’m not sure which because I was out of town Monday night. Looking forward to another dominating performance. I’m really feeling like my game is right where I need it to be, and I think that if the conditions are right, I can really go low this year. Heck, 49 is just a number, right? - Pat
August 21, 2002
Hi Greg, Hi Lisa, Just to let you know, I received my invitation. I will be attending. This is the first time I have dropped in to the website in a while. It is GREAT. I love the aerial views of the park and course. It’s got me planning my strategy for the evil 10th hole and the scenic 11th. What horrors and joy await me there? Hmmmm... Thanks a lot for inviting me. Take care Dennis Higgins
August 23, 2002

August 27, 2002
Greg, Will be unable to attend the event, but sincerely appreciate the invite! I have been meaning to write for at least a couple of years now, sorry for delay. You know how it is when you get behind on correspondence (in all honesty, we have been terribly remiss and feel very badly about our poor track record). I will get a letter together and send it along, filling you in on the travels and travails of the Goligoski’s and their minions. Please forward your email address, I would hate to spill my guts on your website for all to see :) My address is bobgully@worldnet.att.net Cheers
August 27, 2002
So, did you win the trip the Graceland? Happy Birthday, Lis! Your kid sister...L.

Hey Greg & Lisa! Thanks for the invite! Unfortunately...again we have a prior commitment. Paula purchased Badger tickets a couple months ago so that’s where we’ll be. Keep us on the invite list - we WILL rejoin the GPI in the near future. Any truth to the rumor that the Milwaukee Artists will be reassembling? Take Care, Dave & Paula
September 3, 2002
Hey - congrats on 20 years for the GPI! Very impressive, as is the welcome message on your home page...but what is “bacchanalian”? You STILL use words I don’t understand. I wish you much success and a sunny day as you celebrate this event milestone. We are hosting visitors that weekend so can’t fly in again this year, but please, please, please don’t scratch us off your invite list. Your website has a new home in our “favorites” file so we can stay in touch more regularly. I send warm Portland hugs - Linda (Burg) Dahan
September 3, 2002
P.S. Did you see the movie “Lagaan”? It’s a must-see if it gets to Milwaukee. Warning: it’s 4 hrs long but a great artistic film from India...quintessential India film making. LD
September 5, 2002
Greg, There are 13 houses across from Lake Park between Locust Street and Wahl Avenue. I counted on my way to work today. Lisa P.
September 5, 2002
Greg: Thank you for the invitation. We are your neighbors at 2721 N. Lake Drive. We are sorry that we cannot make it to the picnic. We have made another commitment for that weekend. If you have papers to be signed by us, please stop by any time during the day before the event. Enjoy your very special weekend! Jazmin P. Sandoval
September 5, 2002
Greg, Thanks for taking those meeting sheets to Batavia for me! Is the Lake Park course very near Lake Park Bistro? We looked at the photos(very impressive)and it looked like that was the case. You can give me specific directions at school or send me a message. Michele
September 6, 2002
The reaction has been very positive and strong in Racine to the latest invitation. The top 10 lists are a hit. Lisa P.
September 6, 2002

September 8, 2002
Hi Greg; Very nice, extensive, site! Maybe I’ll leave a short movie review sometime. Sincerely, Sophie Rocheleau
September 9, 2002
Hey Greg, Thanks for that awesome brunch yesterday ... I just love Lake Park Bistro and getting together with you and all my fellow hostesses. I was just cruising around the site and checked out the hostess trivia. Cool that you mentioned my motorbike trip across the country but the actual ride went from San Diego, CA to Tybee Island, GA ... not Florida. But it’s okay. Also, do you think it would be possible to get some of Richard’s images he took yesterday of me at the park? I just wrote to him too to see if I could get some. I think the ones with the Karmann Ghia might have turned out cute. Gentle reminder: bring my motorcycle picture to the picnic, okay? :) Looking forward to Saturday and beautiful sunny skies! Love, Jackie
September 9, 2002
Greg, Do we have any extra invitations? There are some new teachers at O. Brown that I would like to invite. Lisa
September 10, 2002

September 13, 2002
Ciao Greg, It is with great pleasure that I sign your guestbook on the eve of your big gig. As usual I must work on Saturday but I will attempt to achieve the impossible. I will talk to the rain supervisor for Saturday and discuss tabling the precipitation and allow my late arrival to the event. See you all tomorrow? Rich Bravata P.S. I hope to see your RSX clean of any corn debris.
September 14, 2002
Greg, In 14 hundred and ninety two, Columbus sailed the ocean blue, In 2 thousand and two, Greg and Lisa out did themselves; and a million thanks to the both of you......... Thadius Shakespeare.. 7th cousin removed from the bard.
September 15, 2002
Greg and Lisa - this years’ event was momentous in so many ways - 1) Live music w/Paul Cebar - AWESOME! Perfect picnic music. I’m not sure if that’s what he’s going for, but it works. 2) Played golf this year!. OK it was only 9 holes, but you can’t rush these things. Seriously many many many thanks for an incredible event. You outdid yourself this year by far - the hostesses! the tents! and Grillmaster Greg Jeske! And the rain held off for the most part until the end! Congratulations and the both of you need to take a long deserved nap today (of course time it after the Packer game, but BEFORE the Sopranos!) Congratulations! Love Mary Trew
September 15, 2002
Greg and Lisa, I am grateful to you both for continuing to invite me to your special event. After several years of difficulty with my work schedule, I am truly glad to have finally participated in some small measure. Again, thank you for your boundless hospitality. Rich Bravata
September 16, 2002
Greg and Lisa, The golf was fun, the food was super and the music was fantastic! Thanks so much for having us at your party. Love ya, Jeff, Wendy and Jimmy
September 16, 2002
Greg and Lisa, I will always remember the GPI -2002 as the first time I played golf. I felt like a virgin. And I didn’t do too badly either - I guess it Is like riding a bicycle, you either can do it or you can’t. (Have I mixed enough innuendo’s here?) Anyway, my brother Pat Currie, did get a little testy about the time it took John McBarron to swing the damn club and hook the shot about 150 yds, but who cares, eh? we had fun! Nora Currie,my niece, and I loved the music, although she refused to dance with me - her loss. The food was fantastic, Sendiks no less! (If you ever want a 20 minute lecture on how Sendick’s got their name call our Dad, Big Pat Currie) Thank you so much for inviting us. Say, the “Currie Cup” looks like it could use a good polishing or did all the admirers who have fondled it just rub the silver off? I believe that the donation included perpetual care, so I’ll bring the polish the next time I’m in Milwaukee! Sarah C. Walters, Chicago,IL
September 16, 2002
Greg and Lisa - Thanks for the the wonderful, wonderful party and golf invitational. 2002 was an outstanding event. You are amazing and gracious hosts, and the GPI is one of the events we most look forward to every year. Your passion and generosity are hard to beat! Kevin and David - Oak Park, Illinois (home of the Frank Llyod Wright Studio)
September 17, 2002
Greg and Lisa - I am hoping that everything went well in your Golf Tourney/Party. I am exceedingly happy that the both of you invited me, even though I was unable to attend. I am grateful for the numerous invitations that you have sent me over the years. I am hoping that next year towards the end of summer, I will be finished with my classes and will be able to attend next years festive gala. God Bless and I look so forward to talking to the both of you in the future. Thanks for not forgetting me! The both of you are truly awesome!
September 17, 2002
Greg and Lisa - The above two E-mails are mine. It was my error in pressing the submit key before I had any text written. The next E-mail I sent you I forgot to enter my name! God Bless and I wish all the Postles and Canadeo’s Godspeed! ---Nick Canadeo
September 20, 2002
Hi, Greg and Lisa: The buzz so far has been that the GPI was the single greatest event of last weekend (including The Sopranos season opener). Sorry I wasn’t there to look foolish with a golf club; it would have been fun all the same. As usual, you have my sincere thanks, not only for keeping me in the Tourney Rolodex, but for always finding a way to include me in the pre-Tourney fanfare (such as the Top Ten Lists). Congratulations!~~~~~~~~~~~~~Cheers, Karl in San Diego
September 22, 2002
Greg, Well it has been a week and a day since your 20th annual bash and I am still reeling. How long have we known each other, 18 years? Clearly, the best Greg Postles Moment ever! Now, a week and day later and what happens? You and Lisa include me in your big Paul McCartney moment. That was so cool of you guys to get me on the cell phone when you were with Paul. That meant so much to me. I am still verklempt! Crikey, Greg, what next with you? You are the moment maker.... The End? I think not...I am both nervous and excited to think about what the future holds. To Be Continued...Natalie Canadeo

November 19, 2002
What happens when you are a hostess who loses 25 lbs and are horrified when you look back at last year’s hostess photos on gregpostles.com? You tell Greg and he quickly arranges for a new photo shoot. What happens when it’s time to review the new photos and choose which will be posted on the Web site? Greg sets up a “hostess date” night and that’s where the fun and intrigue begins. Hostess Date No. 1: Original plan was to grab dinner, go to a movie, and then choose the new photos for the Web site over coffee and dessert. Talk of a hostess scandel at this year’s tournament is a prelude to dinner at Chip and Py’s. Despite the uncomfortable “am I going to get fired?” feeling that loomed over me at the beginning of dinner, by the end of dinner conversation had grown comfortable enough that we ordered a cup of coffee leaving us with only a few short minutes to make it to our movie, “One Hour Photo.” Upon arrival at Northshore Cinema we realized the movie had already started. Instead of switching the order of our plans, we decided to scrap the idea of going through the photos that evening and, throwing all caution to the wind, indulged in two movies ... “Trapped” first, followed by “One Hour Photo.” At the end of the evening we realized the only way we could solve the dilema of still needing to choose Web site photos would be to set up Hostess Date No. 2. Which we did. Please check back for an exciting continuation ...
November 22, 2002
The frivolity of Hostess Date Night No. One did indeed lead to Hostess Date Night No. Two. I drove to Greg’s house where I met up with him and Lisa sent us off with a friendly good-bye. She must really enjoy her “nights off” as she has yet to join us on one of the hostess dates. We made our way to Beans and Barley where we poured over countless creative and perfectly-captured photographs taken of the golf tournament by Allyson Bahr. After that we began our critique of my new portraits. We were viewing them on my laptop computer off of a CD and progress was slow so we again scraped the idea of choosing the ones for the Web site in order to make it to our movie in time. You realize this props the door wide open for Hostess Date No. 3. After some deliberation, we chose our movie for the evening ... a visually enticing little flick called “Sex and Lucia.” I must say this film has set the tone for many potential future hostess dates and some interesting avenues of conversation. It wasn’t only a beautifully filmed movie with a fine storyline, it also taught me a thing or two. When I least expected it, there it was ... my first view of an uncircumsized penis, becoming excited as we watched. This was not something going on in the background, mind you. Full screen, you can’t miss it. So that was that. You might want to check this movie out ... or perhaps purchase the DVD. We made our way to von Trier following the movie where we indulged in a fine German beer and briefly touched on some of the details of Greg’s sordid past. We made a new friend, if only we could remember his name, and he promises to join us for the 21st Annual Greg Postles Golf Invitational. Eventually my eyelids grew heavy; it was a “school night” afterall. That night visions of Hostess Date No. 3 danced in my head. (As a hostess, it’s important to flatter your boss.)
November 26, 2002
And so arrives Hostess Date No. 3. I had my homework completed and arrived at Beans and Barley with a stack of color copies of all the portraits that were taken of me and a few of all of the hostesses. I had marked in order of preference which photos I liked best. Of course I knew full well that my choices were merely suggestions. Ultimately the decision of which photos would represent me on the Web site would be that of my boss, Mr. Postles. I am merely his hostess. It is my job, rather my duty, to please him. We reviewed the photos. Greg was pleased with my choices, but critical as well. He can be stern, but also fair. I have no doubt I will be pleased with what he chooses. The movie that followed dinner was already decided during our previous hostess date. We went to see “Secretary”. There was spanking, plenty of spanking ... on-screen, that is. We both sat silently, with eyes wide open, wondering what sort of domineering tactics the on-screen boss had in mind for his willing, subservient employee. Is this a sign of things to come for the golf tournament hostesses? Only time will tell. Greg is the boss afterall. But the movie was certainly enjoyable ... my favorite to date. On to von Trier we went. Beer flowed, stories followed ... Greg’s stories of his past and more corruption. Intrigued, I listened and doted on every word as he spoke. Nothing he said shocked me. I believe my boss has tried everything once and if he liked it, more than once. At the end of the evening we realized our goal of choosing the Web site photos had been completed. So we were done. No more hostess dates necessary. Or weren’t they?

December 17, 2002
Once upon a time there was a smaller hostess who was yearning to go to a movie with a boss-type figure, but didn’t have much time due to the fact that she was busy organizing details to be a very authentic geisha for Halloween. What else is there for a smaller hostess to do than call her boss-type movie companion and request an Informal Hostess Date? An Informal Hostess Date consists of boss/hostess driving separate vehicles and meeting in the lobby of said theater. The theater of choice was the Oriental. The movie of choice was Auto Focus. Following the movie, the intriguing conversation of Greg’s past (this time he covered the earlier years ... when he first moved to the Milwaukee area) took place in our movie theater seats rather than across the street at von Trier. Time was up when the usher ushered us out as the next movie was due to begin. We parted ways outside of my car. The night ended with a quality hostess hug.
December 17, 2002
Frida finally arrived in area theaters and the draw was strong. There was little a boss and smaller hostess could do to refrain from making an appearance. There was even less we could do to refrain from viewing this much-anticipated film at the Rosebud Cinema Drafthouse. The theater was aglow as we arrived that quiet mid-week night. I must say my Boss Greg is most generous. Even if we’ve already eaten a full dinner, there are always movie concessions to be had, and I’ve never been to a movie with him without leaving with half-full box of Junior Mints. As far as movie concessions go, no place tops the Rosebud. As tempting as the concessions were, there was another matter that needed to be attended to first ... the perfect velvet couch in the perfect location. We entered the theater and headed to the front where we proceeded to hop from couch to couch, judging each for most comfort, best location to the screen, and good accessibility to a coffee table. We laughed like kids doing this until we finally found “the” couch. Concessions were next and, again, Greg had a plan. He pulled $20 from his pocket and instructed me to order anything I wanted for myself, especially alcohol. Was my boss aspiring to get me drunk? We were about to watch a movie with plenty of sexual promiscuity on a velvet couch, afterall. I returned with a cheeseburger, Junior Mints, and a pint of Bass. Greg then made his concession trip and the movie started. Frida was beautiful, Salma Hayek was beautiful, her spirit was beautiful. We got swept away by the essence of the movie and Greg ran off to buy me a Sangria and fancy chocolates which he fed me by hand (truth or fantasy ... you decide!). We left the theater drunk on the images that passed before our eyes. It’s been weeks since this boss/hostess date. Everyday the thought of another rendezvous grows more and more into a yearning. A sinful yearning, I must confess. Cast of Characters Frida Kahlo: Salma Hayek; Boss: Greg Postles; Hostess: Jackie Ott

December 20, 2002
As I mentioned to Greg over coffee at the factory, the speaker was either Colonel Klink or Otto Preminger and the movie was “Hogan’s Heros” or “Stalag 17”. I thought the theme was quite seasonal and you both have middle school potential. May your holiday be joyous and the new year find you in good health. Peace, Jane and Dave
December 20, 2002
Greg and Lisa I love the card!!!! Georgia O’Keefe is one of my favorite artists. My only “guess” for the quote is Steven Spielberg. I don’t know much about movies and don’t remember quotes very often. I would love to know the answer though. Thanks for including me in your list of people to send cards. I always look forward to yours because it is always special!!! Even the stamps are thoughtful. Barb Snodgrass

Greg, it was nice to receive your Christmas card this year. Where have you been for the past 34 years? hope all is well. if I should be in Milwaukee in September--I’d surely try to participate in the golf tournament; ‘cause I have actually played golf before!! Good luck Dan Hoeller

The answer to the Christmas Movie Trivia Quiz is Otto Preminger in Stalag 17. Tom was in that play in High School. Can we get vanity plates on the Mercedes? That is the prize right? Hi Greg - Thanks for posting the scores for last year ... already. I couldn’t help noticing that only 7 men were able to beat my astonishing score of 30 on the diabolical back nine, the true test of one’s ability at Lake Park, and the part of the course that rewards those of us who are very long off the tee. - Pat Currie, one of the “young guns”

Wendy

A friend, George Wagner of 3300 N Newhall Milw 53211, has been practicing at Lake Park. Good etiquette and scrupulous scorer. He will be an asset to our foursome if invited.
Karl

Hey Greg, I like your web site. Some of the pictures in your gallery on the earlier pages didn’t work but I am sure that is being worked on or it is my stupid server. Take care! - Pat

LD

Greg, Thanks for taking those meeting sheets to Batavia for me! Is the Lake Park course very near Lake Park Bistro? We looked at the photos(very impressive)and it looked like that was the case. You can give me specific directions at school or send me a message. Michele

Greg, Do we have any extra invitations? There are some new teachers at O. Brown that I would like to invite. Lisa

Kevin and David - Oak Park, Illinois (home of the Frank Llyod Wright Studio)

MERRY CHRISTMAS from Tom & Deb McDonald
December 20, 2002
As I mentioned to Greg over coffee at the factory, the speaker was either Colonel Klink or Otto Preminger and the movie was “Hogan’s Heros” or “Stalag 17”. I thought the theme was quite seasonal and you both have middle school potential. May your holiday be joyous and the new year find you in good health. Peace, Jane and Dave

The answer to the Christmas Movie Trivia Quiz is Otto Preminger in Stalag 17. Tom was in that play in High School. Can we get vanity plates on the Mercedes? That is the prize right?
